If the property had not had a consumer unit upgrade in the last 10-15 years it would be a good time to change it.
Old distribution boards would have rewireable fuses which do not meet the current disconnection times under fault conditions, a new consumer unit is a great way to protect you & the cabling in your property.
With every distribution board change, we would test the complete installation & issue a test certificate.
